BERKSHIRE CAMPGROUNDS RULES & REGULATIONS
1.
Only one family and one camping unit per site. NO TENTS.
2.
No permanent structures (This includes fences). One 10’ X
10’ metal or vinyl manufactured shed per site which must be
five feet away from any other RV, deck, or patio are
permitted. However, MANAGEMENT APPROVAL MUST BE
OBTAINED PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION.
3.
No trees dead or alive may be cut. Wires around trees for
bird houses, etc. must be covered with hose. Do not nail or
screw anything to the trees, as this kills the trees. Due to
the Emerald Ash Borer problem, removal of dead trees cost
$75.00 for the first tree and $50.00 for each additional
tree on your lot. You can keep the wook or designate someone
else to take it.
4.
No ATV’s, mini-bikes, motorcycles, guns, fireworks or bows
and arrows.
5.
Golf carts must be driven by persons 18 or older. Golf
carts must be driven on roads and golf cart paths only.
Curfew for Golf Carts is 1:00 a.m. Lot number must be
affixed to Golf Cart. No overloading of people on Golf
Carts. No children allowed sitting on lap to steer
carts or sitting on front of cart while moving. If found
drinking while operating your Golf Cart your Golf Cart
privileges maybe taken from you. All golf carts must be in
good working order, with no loud mufflers or engines
allowed. Please keep music at a reasonable level.
6.
No children under 18 may camp in a trailer by themselves.
Curfew for children under the age of 18 is 11:00 p.m.
Parents are responsible for their children and any damages
they may cause. Children may not attend Public Schools while
residing at the Campgrounds. No one is allowed to use or
stay in your camper without you there.
7.
Outside refrigerators, or washers and dryers are not
permitted.
8.
Only 2 vehicles per site. All vehicles must be
operable and licensed. Speed limit is 10 mph.
9.
No storage of utility trailers, extra vehicles, boats, etc.
on sites. There is a storage area available for $30.00
per month. All stored vehicles, etc. Must follow the
Berkshire Township Zoning Code Section 13.03 B which states
the following: Outdoor storage of inoperable, unlicensed, or
unused motor vehicles, including trailers detached from semi
tractors, is prohibited.
10.
No personal messages will be delivered to sites, however
they will be posted on the bulletin board in the camp store.
In extreme emergency, contact the Delaware County Sheriff.
We do not receive or deliver mail for campers here at
Berkshire.
11.
Unsightly sites will not be tolerated. Please keep your lawn
mowed and leaves raked. If you do not, management will and a
fee will be charged. (see monthly camping information sheet).
NO BURNING LEAVES AT ANYTIME. This is in accordance with the
Health Department Regulations and Ohio EPA. Check in the
store for location of the compost pile.
12.
No for sale signs may be posted on camper.
13.
Public consumption of alcoholic beverages, drunkenness, or
rowdiness will not be tolerated. You may drink alcohol
on campsites only (not at the pool, family functions, or on
golf carts). If found drinking while operating your Golf
Cart you may lose your Golf Cart privileges.
14.
QUIET HOURS are observed from 12:00 midnight until 8:00 a.m.
Please respect your neighbors. Please keep your dogs quiet.
15. The lake is for fishing only, no swimming or boating. Please
clean the area before leaving.
16. BY HEALTH DEPARTMENT ORDERS,
ALL
FIREWOOD STORED OUTSIDE OF CAMPER MUST BE OFF GROUND AND ON
PALLETS. Every trailer must be equipped with an
anti-siphon device which may be purchased at our store or
any hardware store.
17.
No lifeguards are on duty at the pool. Children 12 and
under must be accompanied by an adult. No shirts or
cutoff shorts allowed in pool. Babies must have swimsuits.
No paper diapers in pool. No coolers allowed in pool
area.
18.
The playground area is for children 12 and under. All
children must be accompanied by a parent for injury reasons.
19.
Pets are permitted, however, pets must be on leash, under
control of owner and all shots must be current. No
dogs are to be chained up unattended outside of trailer.
Kennels are not permitted.
20.
Our dumpsters are for trash only. DO NOT PUT TIRES,
APPLIANCES, OR ANY OTHER LARGE TRASH ITEM IN DUMPSTER.
21.
The Health Department requires that all fire rings must be
free of garbage or trash. Open containers that may
accumulate water are not permitted.
22.
All RV’s brought into the park must be approved by
management before moving onto a site. NO PARK TRAILER
MODELS ALLOWED. The position of
the RV must also be approved by management.
23.
If your RV is sold, the new owner, RV, and position of the
RV must be approved by the management. Your membership is
non-transferable and ends at the time of sale of RV. There
is no refund of any membership fees if you leave early. Your
site must be cleared at the time of your RV is removed. If
there is anything left on your lot when RV is removed (deck,
shed,etc.) it becomes property of Berkshire Lake Campground.
24.
Absolutely no Karaoke allowed on sites. You may make
arrangements with management to use the common area behind
the swimming pool. There will be a fee.
25.
MANAGEMENT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY OBJECTIONABLE
PERSON. MANAGEMENT SHALL BE THE SOLE JUDGE OF WHOM IS
OBJECTIONABLE.
26.
No children may be left on premises without parent or adult
supervision.
27.
No one may use your trailer without prior approval from
management. No one may stay in your trailer while you
are not there.
28.
You may not have service work performed by an outside
company or individual. If you wish to have someone
else do this work, you must remove your unit from the
grounds for the repairs to be made.
29.
Do not cut through lots. Please watch your children,
and do not allow them to cut through other campers' lots.
Children that misbehave will be taken back to their lot.
The second time the children misbehave they will not be
allowed to any activities or have the use of the game room.
If there is a 3rd time then the family will be asked to
vacate. Please watch your children.
30.
No more than 8 visitors at a time on your lot. You
need to pay for your visitors either at the guard center or
in the office. After reaching the max number of
visitors, all others will be turned away. Please do not park your visitors' car
in the Party House parking lot. You will be towed.
Park in the RV Sales lot.
31.
Shelter House is available to rent. Call for details.

32.
By signing your application you are agreeing to abide by the
rules and regulations.
ADDENDUM TO 2013 RULES
1. Changing Lots/New Trailer - Based
on the amount of tome and work to do this, the fee will
start at $100. Check with manangement to make arrangements
and to determine price.
2. Definition of Seasonal - Using the
campground facility on weekends, holidays, and up to 2
nights a week every so often. Ask about our Seasonal Plus
Package which allows unlimited camping June, July, and
August.
3. No trespassing on property outside
the campground.
2013 VISITOR POLICIES
1. The visitor fee will be $5.00 per
person over the age of 3 yrs. Included in this fee will be
the use of the pool and attending any campground sponsored
activity during their visit.
2. The fee will be collected at the
security gate Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. You may
prepay for your guests or purchase a pass @ 5 visits for
$20.00. Guests are expected to leave at midnight each day.
3. Guests are not allowed to drive
Golf Carts and are not allowed to use your camper if you are
not there.
4. Visitors parking in the Party
House lot and coming in on a Golf Cart is not allowed. It is
unfair to those visitors who pay the fee.
